10 Characters Marvel Studios Can't Currently Use (And Why It Sucks)

6. Onslaught

Onslaught is a truly awesome villain and one that Marvel Studios - with their proven expertise in glorious CGI - would make look fantastic in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sadly, however, given that he is a sentient psionic entity created from the consciousness of two mutants - Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto - he's locked up in Fox's hands. He would represent a type of enemy that the Avengers and company are unlikely to ever face in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - given their lack of telepaths, it wouldn't really be a fair fight - but it's one that it would certainly be interesting to see them try to combat. In Onslaught's first major appearance, the most interesting thing that happened to him involved the Hulk and it would be extremely interesting to see a live action depiction of the moment. When Onslaught was fighting the likes of the Avengers and various other heroes, his altercation with Hulk saw the green goliath use his unbelievable strength to tear apart his incredibly durable armour. The resulting explosion of psionic energy separated Bruce Banner and the Hulk in to two different beings and Onslaught was left as an energy being, immune to physical harm and free to possess the minds and bodies of others. If you can't picture that as making a fantastic live action spectacle, your expectations are way too high!
