10 Characters That Could Make Up MCU's Young Avengers

Harley Keener made his MCU debut many years in Iron Man 3, acting as something of Tony Stark's assistant and protégé, helping him to get to the bottom of the Mandarin's bombings in Tennessee.

At the end of the movie, Tony gifted Harley with a bunch of Stark tech, including the Potato Gun Mk 2, which could ultimately lead to the character taking a role in the Young Avengers in the future. Avengers: Endgame poured fuel on this fire when Harley returned for Tony's funeral.

Before this, there was no real reason to expect a return from Harley Keener, since the MCU had gone for six years without so much as even mentioning the character, but his appearance in Endgame has led fans to believe that Marvel Studios has a plan for him. There has to be a reason he was brought back, right?

The Young Avengers have an Iron Lad in the comics in the form of Nathaniel Richards, a different form of Kang the Conqueror that put the team together, but Harley Keener could absolutely take on something of a similar role in the MCU. Though Kang is set to appear in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, reintroducing him as a younger version of himself may serve as little more than an overcomplication. Harley instead would be a great alternative Iron Lad option for the franchise.
