10 Characters The MCU Wishes It Could've Introduced Differently

9. Sharon Carter

This was weird.

Steve Rogers' story is that of a man who, finally finding a place in the world and the woman of his dreams, is frozen in time and awakens to discover that everything has changed. The wold he fought for is unrecognizable, and the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with has lived an entire life without him. Tearfully, in Civil War, he attends her funeral.

THEN NECKS ON WITH HER GRANDDAUGHTER!!! What!? Steve mate, she's been in the ground for 2 days at this point and you're copping off with her only living relative?! It was honestly as if Marvel had been really annoyed at the reaction to the Widow/Banner romance and decided to put it into context by showing them what wEiRd really looked like.

Sharon Carter is such an important part of modern-day S.H.I.E.L.D in the comics, and such a great character full stop, that relegating her to an awkward love interest in Civil War is one of Marvel's biggest creative missteps.
