Everything is awesome! The Lego Movie landed in cinemas this past week, and has been a huge hit with both critics and audiences alike, such that the unsurprising announcement was made that a sequel will be on the way. Given how much material Chris Miller and Phil Lord will have to work from (should they return for Part Duplo), it's a rare sequel we can actually look forward to, combined with the fact that it has a plot ready and waiting: the invasion of Finn's sister's Duplo aliens! Though throwing every possible pop culture figure at the screen for the sake of it is a bad idea, it'd be nice to see at least some of these 10 characters show up in The Lego Movie 2. Granted, I'm expecting that muddy legal issues will prevent us from ever seeing Marvel and DC heroes on screen at the same time (even in Lego form), but we can dream, can't we? Others are just a natural progression from what we saw in part one, and if it's even just half as witty and smart as the first movie, it's going to be a blast.
