1. Adam Warlock - Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3
Adam Warlock was teased in the Guardians 2 credit scene, and in all honesty, it’s a little surprising that we’ve made it through two Guardians movies without him.
There are some obvious reasons why he’s been delayed, but fans have waited long enough to see this super in action. Quill’s parentage differs greatly on screen than in ink, so it made sense for Warlock to sit things out until that arc was concluded.
Also, in Infinity War and Endgame, the Guardians play supporting cast to the Avengers, and through Gamora and Nebula offer narrative foil for Thanos’ story to unfold.
Warlock, at least in the comics, has a power level to match Captain Marvel, who only played a minor role in Endgame for the same reason Warlock missed it. The two movies were supposed to be a sign off on the other twenty or so that came before it; having two power hitters show up late on to save the day would’ve been disappointing, poor writing and unnecessary.
Now that Thanos has been dealt with, the stage is set for Warlock to enter. You have to think that Thor has joined the Guardians to give them a buff against him too.
