10 Characters Who Must Be Introduced In The DC Extended Universe

Zatanna is a great character, but the only place she's been seen thus far is in Smallville. In recent years, there have been a lot of rumours about plans for the magically powered superhero, though it seems as if those will finally come to fruition in J.J. Abrams' Justice League Dark series coming to HBO Max.

Beyond that, there are already said to be plans in place for a spinoff movie of some sort, so Warner Bros. could be banking on Zatanna being a breakout character in this corner of the DC Extended Universe. It would be a shame for her to be relegated solely to a streaming service, of course, but with so many conflicting rumours out there, all that's really known is that something is happening.

In the comic books, Zatanna is a powerful magician who casts spells by speaking backwards. She's a frequent love interest for John Constantine, and a hero with enough firepower to have been a member of both Justice League Dark and the Justice League of America.

Leaving her on the shelf any longer would be a crime, especially when Zatanna is a character Warner Bros. could actually very easily build an entire franchise around over the next few years.
