9. Emma Frost - X-Men: First Class (2011)
Hot totty eye candy came in the form of January Jones for 'X-Men: First Class'. Michael Fassbender probably should have snapped her neck all the way off. Emma Frost/ The White Queen plays the consort of Sebastian Shaw and key member of The Hellfire Club. The film version of Emma Frost is just too cold, Jones takes all the dialogue and refuses to flesh it out in any way. As she parades around in white fur she gives off the look of an Austin Powers fembot, but being able to turn into solid diamond I am sure these insults will just bounce off her hard skin. In the comics Frost was originally just a psychic, but following the death of Colossus (who had the ability to harden his skin) the writers gave Frost a similar power, for which she is now most famous. After murdering her own sister, Emma begins to repent her previous actions and eventually joins the X-Men. Since then she has become a valuable member of the team, even having an affair with Cyclops. Emma Frost has always been at the back of the group and Jones' role in 'First Class' shows why.
The character doesn't really posses enough depth to be at the forefront of a storyline, so thank god they didn't create an Emma Frost spin-off which was originally rumoured back in 2006. An unnamed form of Emma Frost appeared in 'Origins', but after the inclusion of January Jones in 'First Class' this version of Frost was discredited from X-Men film canon. When Singer was still attached to direct 'The Last Stand' he had reportedly wanted Sigourney Weaver in the role of Emma Frost, so it would have been interesting to see how she would come across. Whilst the 'First Class' version of Emma Frost fitted well with the swinging 60's genre, you can't really see her progressing from there. With his snazzy new Magento helmet Erik frees Emma at the end of 'First Class'... despite this January Jones will not be returning for DoFP.
