5. Fin Fang Foom
As comic book dragons go, Fin Fang Foom is up there with the best of them. The extra-terrestrial creature is one of the greatest ever Iron Man villains, so iconic they even based an Easter egg around him in Iron Man 3.
During a scene where Tony Stark soars across the city in his high-tech armour, a poster in the background depicts the MCU version of the towering alien.
Whether this particular incarnation of Fin Fang Foom will crop up in a future movie remains to be seen, but Marvel has already given him a more substantial outing in the comic book mini-series Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas.
If Robert Downey Jr renews his Iron Man contract, due to expire after next year's Avengers 4, there's an outside chance characters like Fin Fang Foom and the real Mandarin will become important fixtures in the MCU rogues gallery.
