Break-Out Role: 3rd Rock From The Sun 3rd Rock From the Sun was great, and while the rest of the cast have all but faded away (aside from the exceptional John Lithgow, of course), the youngest member of the extra-terrestrial clan has gone from strength to strength since the end of the show's impressive run. Joseph Gordon-Levitt has since established himself as a promising talent in Hollywood, both in front of and behind the camera, with high-profile roles and that intangible film star essence that makes him a perpetual rumour whenever big roles come up. There aren't many child stars, after all, who can say they were cast in key roles in a Batman film (well, there are two.) He's also proved that he's got a bright future, as his hitRECord project is taking off, encouraging young artists to get more active with their talent and he seems to be inescapable on social media.
