Break-Out Role: Little House On The Prairie Bateman was a teen sitcom star in the 80s, having cut his teeth in Little House on the Prairie. But his star faded as he grew, and like most actors in his position, he seemed to have dropped off the face of the Earth, working on lesser-seen shows and a bunch of TV movies. That is, until 2003, when he was cast as the lead in the career-making sitcom Arrested Development, which netted him a Golden Globe Award. Arrested Development is nothing short of excellent, and it is undoubtedly up there with the likes of Seinfeld as one of the finest comedy shows of all-time. Despite never getting high ratings, due to the fact that the general public tend to warm to cheap pop culture references and "nerd chic" these days, Bateman was back on the scene and is now getting a steady flow of film work. Which is only right, of course, since he's a genuinely funny guy.
Lifelong wrestling fan and film buff who consumes far too much caffeine. Currently working on a comic book and learning how to cook the perfect fried egg. Both of which are an ongoing process.
