10 Classic Movies Most People Lie About Having Seen

4. It's A Wonderful Life

Like Blade Runner, It's A Wonderful Life was a film that was not well-received when it was first released into theatres. Critics were unmoved by Frank Capra's tale of George Bailey's realisation that he does, in fact, have a wonderful life, and positive notices were few and far between. It was only with repeat television airings that it grew into the festive favourite that it is today. Nowadays it is one of the best critically regarded films and millions of people re-watch the film at Christmas. But how many of those millions that claim to have watched the film have actually seen it, though? The Orange research suggests that at least some of those claiming as much are fibbing. It's understandable why: It's A Wonderful Life is one of the most loved films of all time and to not have seen it is tantamount to killing Santa Claus to some people, but it's old, so innately off-putting. If you haven't seen It's A Wonderful Life you really owe it yourself to remedy that.
