10 Classic Movies You Had No Idea Were Being Remade
4. The Craft
Blumhouse are remaking the 1996 cult supernatural horror The Craft, which will be written, directed and produced by actress Zoe Lister Jones, who made her directorial debut with 2017’s Band Aid.
The original film follows newcomer Sarah who falls in with a clique of witches who all began casting spells to make their lives easier and get revenge of their bullies – but the spells soon start to backfire.
The new cast of teen witches has already been confirmed and consist of relatively fresh faces: Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone and Zoey Luna.
Spaeny will play Hannah, the new kid and, much like the original, the coven will experiment with witchcraft which seems to solve their problems at first, but the power slowly begins to consume them.
Filming is set to begin in July.
