1. ...But You Do See Something At The End Of The Trailer
Like the trailers for the original Cloverfield, there's plenty in the footage of 10 Cloverfield Lane to breakdown, even if it's very hard to get any details at all about the sci-fi elements (something that's even harder with those audio tricks). There is one thing we do see that could be a pretty big clue though; at the end of both the Super Bowl TV spot and Walking Dead ad, after Winstead escapes something approaches the house along with a bright light and, in the final seconds of the shot, you can make out an eery silhouette. As it appears to be behind the light itself this is likely the source, although the odd shape and presence of other things rising either side of the beam make it hard to figure out what exactly it is; even in 1080p it's impossible to tell whether it's mechanical or organic, although the height alone suggests something big or aerial. What we can take from it 100% is that while it is possible to pin down where The Cellar-cum-Valencia-cum-10 Cloverfield Lane came from, we won't be able to pin down what's going on until it hits cinemas.
