8. Bradley Cooper's Cameo

Being set mostly in a single, confined location, 10 Cloverfield Lane has an incredibly tight cast - John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher, Jr. Oh, and Bradley Cooper. Yes, that Bradley Cooper; you never see him, but he pops up at the start as the voice of Michelle's now ex-boyfriend Ben, pleading her to return home. Turns out that Cooper is still in touch with J.J. Abrams after the pair worked together on Alias, with 10 Cloverfield Lane's producer calling up the now-Oscar nominated star for a cheeky cameo in the film. Move over Joss Whedon, there's a new, unconventional professional family in town.
