7. Captain Bucky

Captain America is going to die fairly soon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - it's as simple as that. Whether it's during Captain America: Civil War in 2016, in one of the Avengers: Infinity War movies in 2018 or 2019, or in Phase 4, Chris Evans will not be portraying the role forever. With that in mind, it is generally believed that Bucky Barnes - Captain America's former friend who went on to become the brainwashed HYDRA weapon known as the Winter Soldier - will reform and take over the Captain America mantle. This has been foreshadowed since 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger, when he briefly wielded Cap's shield prior to what was believed to be a fall to his death, and in Captain America: The Winter Solider, when he wielded it briefly in battle against Captain America himself.
