Any Given Sunday is an extremely watchable film, with a stellar cast including Al Pacino, Cameron Diaz, Dennis Quaid, Jamie Foxx and LL Cool J. Throughout filming, however, the latter two had a big falling out. During shooting of the American Football, Oliver Stone-directed movie, the two men had an actual physical fight with each other in which the Miami-Dade County Police were forced to intervene. LL Cool J, real name James Todd Smith, was the main problem, pushing Foxx and then punching him in the face. He tried to claim he was in character afterwards (they had been shooting a fight scene), but it seemed a very iffy excuse. Foxx almost pressed charges against his colleague, but ended up deciding against it. The two have since made up, with Foxx joining his former foe onstage as a special guest at one of his shows in 2006.
