10 Comic Book Movie Characters Who Were Screwed By Terrible Writing

2. Spider-Man (Spider-Man 1-3)

The first two Spider-Man films are not exactly flawless, but they are fantastic examples of how to successfully adapt a hugely popular comic book character into an even more successful movie franchise. Then Spider-Man 3 came along. Did Sam Raimi become too ambitious with the villain count or did he just become too complacent after the success of the first two films? Either way, the worst aspect of the entire movie is when audiences were subjected to the 'emo' Peter Parker, a character who will go down in infamy as one of the worst representations of a comic book character in any medium...ever. Years of therapy will never erase the awkward street dancing scene from audiences minds and then there was THAT flop of hair. No matter how much money you throw at a film, even one poorly scripted scene can send an entire movie crashing down.
