Considering the rate at which Hollywood is churning out comic book-inspired blockbusters at the moment, it shouldn€™t come as a huge surprise that everything doesn€™t always go to plan during the production process. With that many movies being produced, there's bound to be a few horror stories. It's no longer all that rare to hear of a person €“ be they an actor, director or writer - getting fired from comic book movie. The massive studios behind these box office behemoths need to keep the wheels turning, and if you€™re causing trouble, you could well be forcibly removed. (Unless you€™re Josh Trank, in which case you get to stay, for some reason.) Many different things can get you canned from a comic book movie, it would seem: financial issues, studio demands, and even that familiar old beast we call creative differences. Sometimes, said sacking might be handled in a civil manner, but on other occasions, it can be a very public, very acrimonious split. Often, a person will be fired before a single frame of their comic book movie career is even in the can.
