10 Comic Book Movie Henchmen Who Deserve Way More Praise

7. Tinkerer - Spiderman: Homecoming (2017)

The MCU has had a pretty good streak of creating sympathetic and relatable villains in their movies, and one of the most relatable antagonists was Michael Keaton's Vulture.

At a human level, The Vulture is essentially a guy who was robbed of a contract he staked his own livelihood on, and was put in financial destitute thanks to The Avengers themselves. So when Adrian Toomes' gang decide to retrofit the materials leftover from the Chitauri invasison, he and his gang of workers get busy making a killing (literally and figuratively) with the weapons.

All of this is not possible without Phineas Mason aka The Tinkerer - a somewhat passive engineer who makes an array of weapons and devices for The Vulture and his gang to use on robberies and arms deals.

While he never goes toe-to-toe with Spiderman in the film, he is key in the final fight on board the cargo airplane flying over New York. And unlike many of the other henchmen in this list, his fate is still open to interpretation and here's hoping he makes something of a return in future films.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
