4. Lady Deathstrike - X2 (2003)

Lady Deathstrike
20th Century Fox

The character played by Kelly Hu was someone to pay attention to, from her very first scene where she nonchalantly crackles her knuckles in The White House.

Her first standout scene comes when she is apprehending Professor X and Cyclops, and after displaying cat-like agility and martial artistry, it's confirmed she's a mutant and suggest those silver fingernails of hers aren't just cosmetic.

With Magneto taking something of a backseat as a villain, the main antagonist is of course Colonel Stryker. But because he's not a physical threat, the main danger of the film comes from Lady Deathstrike and she elevates herself from assistant to full-on unstoppable weapon when she is commanded to fight Wolverine one-on-one.

Her reveal to have extendable razor claws, and the same healing powers of Wolverine makes her the greatest enemy he has ever faced, and Wolverine's reaction is what we would all feel in that scenario.

Right until her death as she gets her gut pumped with Adamantium, Lady Deathstrike was the best thing Col. Stryker ever took for granted. And we're including his psychic son in that fact.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
