The That '70s Show star must have thought he was on the express train to super-stardom when he landed the plum role of Venom in Sam Raimi's threequel. The second film had been a breath-taking success, and Venom was viewed by a lot of Spidey fans as the perfect addition to the franchise, particularly under Raimi's guidance.

But then the film was a relative disaster - at least in comparative terms - as Raimi struggled to assert his own creative identity, and Grace found himself scapegoated for the poor handling of Venom. Despite the fact that Tobey Maguire was the one who did all the dancing.

What He Did Next

Sparse great roles - like the high-intellect psychopath in Predators and more recently his key role in Blackkklansman - but a mediocre majority: certainly nothing like his potential should have warranted.
