10 Comic-Book Movie Post-Credits Scenes That Weren't Worth Waiting For

7. Stryker's Arrest (X-Men Origins: Wolverine)

X-Men Origins: Wolverine features three different post-credits tags, depending on which version you watch.

The first - and least interesting - finds a worn-down William Stryker being taken in for questioning about the murder of General Munson, who was killed by Stryker earlier in the film.

The film itself wasn't great, and this was just the icing on the proverbial sh*t cake.

Stryker was one of the film's least-interesting characters, but more importantly, he was an easy-to-hate villain. The end of the movie leaves his fate ambiguous (Kayla uses her powers of persuasion to force him to keep walking until his feet bleed) and it was better to be left thinking that he was out there suffering, slowly, and not that he was saved by a group of police.

Plus, what purpose does this serve? Are we supposed to care that General Munson - who was also unlikable - died? If Stryker had killed, say, Wolverine, and was then shown being detained for that crime, then this moment would have been incredibly satisfying. As it is, it's the very definition of throwaway.
