10 Comic Book Movies That Got MULTIPLE Characters Wrong

9. Suicide Squad

Batman & Robin Villains
Warner Bros

Create a list for best soundtracks to terrible movies and 2016's Suicide Squad will be near the top. It began with a wonderful trailer that made it seem like they were actually going to pull off making a movie about Batman's villains, without establishing them in a Batman movie first. It ended with a rushed storyline, an uneven tone, and a world-ending plot that was impossible to take seriously.

So what worked? Well, obviously Margo Robbie knocked it out of the amusement park with her Harley Quinn, Viola Davis is perfect for Amanda Waller, Joel Kinnaman is fine as Rick Flag, and Jai Courtney is surprisingly not the worst. Oh, and Will Smith was great as Will Smith, I just thought that Deadshot was going to be in the film.

Katana is a wasted character, reduced to "body guard" who doesn't speak English and her sword makes her sad. Killer Croc is forgettable, hardly menacing, and about to drop a hot 16 bars. El Diablo's backstory was altered along with his motivations. Slipknot is forgotten about quicker than he is introduced. Enchantress not only shouldn't have been the main antagonist, she also deserved a better actress than Cara Delevigne.

And finally, the Joker, played far too over-hyped by Jerod Leto. Leto is one of the top actors working today, however did himself no favors with the stories coming out before the release with his over-the-top "method" acting. Finding out he had barely more screen time than Slipknot and a couple more lines than Scott Eastwood, audiences were disappointed in the lack of Joker. This version of the clown prince of crime kind of works for the DCEU...however, we've slowly come to realize the DCEU doesn't work.
