10 Comic Book Movies You Should Feel Guilty For Enjoying

9. Judge Dredd (1995)

Before Karl Urban put on the famous helmet and was involved in a decent adaptation of the character, Sylvester Stallone felt the need to bring Judge Dredd to the big screen. Fans were in an uproar when the film was initially released. It had almost no relation to the comics or the character. It was campy and Dredd barely even wore his helmet! However, one has to admit that despite all the negative things that have been said about this film it is still awesome cyperpunk shoot€™em up entertainment. Stallone was a decent choice to play the titular character. He€™s got the jawline, the build and the voice. The special effects are on-point and the film boasts a fairly decent cast. It took all of the screenable elements of the comic book and made them accessible to an audience a bit wider than its original fan-base. It's too bad this film gets unduly knocked by purists and those misguidedly looking for detail realism in the genre. Judge Dredd is severely underrated and you shouldn't be afraid to admit it.
