8. Carnage
Venom is one of the scariest villains in Spider-Mans rogues gallery, but its spawn, Carnage, ups the scariness to a whole new level. Venom has all of the powers of Spider-Man, but is stronger and undetectable by Spider-Mans spider sense. Carnage has all the powers of Spider-Man and Venom plus shape shifting abilities including the ability to form weapons, the ability to plant thoughts in peoples heads by touch, and strength greater than Spider-Man and Venom combined. While Venom will kill when deemed necessary, Carnage kills for the sadistic pleasure. Carnage is the fusion of the offspring of the Venom symbiote suit and the serial killer Cletus Kasady. Eddie Brock, the original host for Venom, was incarcerated in a cell with Kasady. It was in that cell that Venom left its offspring, which bonded to Kasady. The bond between Kasady and the Carnage symbiote is much stronger than that of Brock and the Venom symbiote as Kasady fully embraces the symbiotes violent urges. Carnage even refers to itself as I compared with Venom who refers to itself as we. Carnage has appeared in the 90s Spider-Man animated series and Spider-Man Unlimited animated series. Due to the child friendly nature of the 90s show, Carnage is shown as a madman rather than a mass murderer, but he does still create his own weapons leading to some creepy moments. Likelihood of appearing:
The appearance of Carnage in film is largely dependent on the re-appearance of Venom, and whether or not that will lead to a Venom spin-off film. There have been talks of a Venom film since the release of Spider-Man 3 in 2007. Apparently a script was written for the film that included Carnage as the villain. The film is still yet to be released but any further developments with the film are likely to be on hiatus until Venom is introduced into the rebooted Amazing Spider-Man cinematic universe. There have been some hints that Venom may appear in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in which case Carnage in film may be not too far away.
