10 Common Film Occurrences That Just Don’t Happen In Real Life

7. The Black Guy Dies First

I've never really understood why this is a thing. In horror and action movies, the first character to die is generally the black guy. It baffles me that something like that would be a trend. I guess Hollywood really is racist. I mean, remember The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers? The black ranger was played by a black guy and the yellow ranger was played by an Asian chick. And now Hollywood is showing ,what appears to be, regression. Instead of just drawing attention to their race, Hollywood is killing them off before everyone else, instead. In the real world, the color of your skin would have nothing to do with whether or not you would die first in a serial killer situation, unless the killer was part of the Klan or something. But other than that scenario, I can't think of a legitimate reason that the black guy always has to be the first to go.

Born in Memphis, TN and raised in a suburb of Dallas, TX, Jonathan gained notoriety within his high school due to the controversial nature of the editorials he wrote for the school paper. Jonathan is a huge comic book nerd, in particular DC Comics, along with being a fan of watching movies and being as cynical as he can towards them (something that the people watching the movie with him generally do not appreciate)
