10 Common Movie Types That Nobody Actually Wants To See

1. Movies That Should Have Been Rated Higher, But Were Dumbed Down Last Minute

taken.2.poster Remember how Taken 2 was nothing like the original movie? Why was that, exactly? Oh, yeah: because the studio did everything in its power during the post-production process to ensure that the spirit of the original was nowhere to be found. That's to say, the hardcore violence was what made Taken the cult classic that it is today. There's no use beating about the bush: we all enjoyed that movie because it was bloody as hell, right? To appeal to a larger audience haul, though, Taken 2 was edited into incomprehension: none of the exploitation-minded violence made it into the final cut, simply so that they could slap it with a lower age restriction and sell it to a bunch more people. And this is happening lots now, as witnessed with recent Brad Pitt vs. zombie movie World War Z: studios are sacrificing the integrity of their movies so they can claw in that extra cash. As a result, we're getting movies that feel neutered. And that's totally not cool, Hollywood. That's a bad Hollywood. Like this article? Let us know in the comments section below.
