6. 3D Movies

I'm probably beating a dead horse by even bringing 3D into the conversation, I know, but if somebody announced tomorrow that 3D movies were going to cease to exist forever, how many people do you think would actually bat an eyelid, other than James Cameron? Movie people aside, I doubt more than, like, twelve regular movie-goers would be annoyed about that prospect. Which is to say: the public don't really care whether they see something in 3D or not. People are rarely ever "looking forward" to catching a movie in 3D. Some movies deserve to be seen in 3D, you say. What about
Avatar? That looked amazing! Okay, you've got a good point there argumentative reader, but that's not really the territory I'm dealing with right now. My reasoning here is that nobody really cares if a movie is made in 3D or whether they see it in 3D - if you give them the option, sure they might take it if they know it's supposed to look good, but if you took the option away from them entirely? Well, I'm sorry to James Cameron and those twelve people, but there would be little fuss.
