8. Loki in Thor (2011) & Avengers Assemble (2012)
It is often said that 'Home is where the Heart is', but most times problems begin at home... Supervillain Loki, the adoptive brother and arch-enemy of Thor, just wants to be loved and prove himself as worthy to his adoptive father Odin (King of Asgard). After finding out his bio-mythical father is Odin's enemy Laufey, he can't be blamed for feeling like the Ugly Duckling of the Asgardian family. A classic case of an identity crisis. However he really seems to have it in for Thor! It is evident that Thor believes Loki's rage is a spell of sibling rivalry and that there is still love between them. Ultimately, it is up to Loki to see through the fine line between love and hate and offer forgiveness... We shall have to see how the family saga unfolds in the upcoming sequel Thor: The Dark World (2013).
