10 Craziest Things That Have Happened Since Disney Bought Star Wars

1. Scrapping The Expanded Universe

Star Wars fans had been left to speculate for over a year and a half about what Disney buying Lucasfilm meant for the Expanded Universe, but StarWars.com made its end official on April 25th, 2014. To avoid being shackled to the stories told in the various comic book, novels, and video games released over the years, the EU was discarded. Some fans were understandably upset and shocked by this decision, but it was always inevitable. Keeping those stories canon would have turned Star Wars: The Force Awakens into an adaptation of already published material. There are those who might not have had any sort of problem with that, but it does make a lot more sense that Disney would want to start afresh by creating a new continuity which doesn't hold them back from telling new tales in a Galaxy Far, Far Away. Besides, despite its end, Disney has still borrowed elements from the EU. Have there been any more Star Wars developments since Disney bought Lucasfilm that were missed? Which is the most shocking change? Have your say down in the comments.
