2. Weird Cross Promotion

It was always inevitable that there would be some weird crossovers between Disney and Star Wars following the purchase of Lucasfilm. Disney Stores across the world are proof of that, as any manner of strange mashup merchandise can be found which brings together the worlds of characters from the respective Disney and Star Wars universes. However, one of the strangest crossovers came from Disney XD's Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars. Retelling A New Hope in a pretty unique and clever way, the animated special was well received by fans and critics alike, proving that these sorts of crossovers can work when handled the right way. Unfortunately, none of the original cast members took part, but it did include Simon Pegg as C-3PO. This is one of only a very small handful of crossovers, but you just know that many more will follow both before and after Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
