7. The Ear Rip - M3GAN
If you are one of the folks who only caught this year's robot doll horror treat that was M3GAN in theatres, there's a good chance you missed out on one of the most gloriously repulsive visuals of 2023.
During the flick, the artificially intelligent doll decides to punish the bully targeting her precious Cady by ripping the little punk's ear off. And while the theatrical version of the sci-fi horror opted to cut away from the sickening moment Brandon says goodbye to one of his lugs, the unrated M3GAN feature certainly does not.
In that much more unforgiving scene, viewers get the full experience of Brandon's ear being slowly peeled from his young skull.
The fact M3GAN then goes on to chase down the terrified bully like a robotic Gollum and ultimately causes him to get run over by an incoming car is also fairly disturbing. But it's that disgusting attempt to teach Brandon an agonising lesson via ear stretch that was scorched into the minds of audiences after giving the unrated version of this terrifying doll a spin.
