10 Crazy Star Wars Theories That Might Not Be Quite So Crazy
2. Han Solo Is Force Sensitive... And The Force Hates Him
This is not a new theory but depending on how you look at it, could be one of the funniest.
Han Solo is a lucky man. He also has the worst luck imaginable. Look back and you will see that his entire original trilogy career is one long list of tight scrapes and miraculous escapes.
In The Empire Strikes Back the Falcon’s hyperdrive malfunctions with Imperial forces in pursuit... only for Han to happen upon an asteroid field with a convenient cave to hide in... which turns out to be occupied by a giant monster... which he escapes from in the nick of time.
And in Return of the Jedi, he is thawed out by Leia, only to immediately be captured by Jabba. Then, while dangling over the Sarlaac Pit, he makes a pin-point accurate shot while half blind and defeats the galaxy’s most dangerous bounty hunter with a lucky whack to the back.
Granted, this out-of-the-frying-pan-and-into-the-fire style of storytelling is typical of George Lucas, but in-universe only one conclusion can be drawn: the Force hates Han, but in a stroke of hilarious irony, cannot kill him because he is Force sensitive.
No wonder he was reluctant to believe.
