In Jordan Peele's Us, Adelaide Wilson goes on holiday with her husband, Gabe, and her children, Zora and Jason. Since childhood, Adelaide has been rattled after she had an encounter with her doppelgänger at a funhouse. Although her husband does what he can to reassure her, Adelaide warns him her evil counterpart is hunting them.

Sure enough, their house is invaded by duplicates of the entire Wilson family that same night. Calling themselves The Tethered, the demented doubles begins physically and mentally tormenting the family.

There is no question Lupita Nyong'o steals the show as Adelaide's Tether, Red, but that shouldn't take away from the performances of Evan Alex and Shahadi Wright Joseph who play Red's offspring, Pluto and Umbrae respectively.

As the pyromaniacal Pluto scuttles across the ground and the constantly grinning Umbrae gleefully impales her victims, it's impossible not to be unnerved. Even though they move swiftly and erratically, these evil ersatz siblings are at their most frightening when they are still and silent.

Without speaking a word, this pair proved to be one of the scariest children in any horror film.
