10 Creepiest Scary Moments In Kid-Friendly Movies

8. Heffalumps & Woozles - The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh

Overall, there's nothing but adorable, sweet-natured fun to be found in the Hundred Acre Wood, the forest home where stuffed bear Winnie the Pooh and his friends have their adventures with young Christopher Robin. But when the movie goes creepy, it goes all the way.

When Pooh hears of strange creatures called Heffalumps and Woozles that won't hesitate to steal his honey, he sets guard to protect the honey over a stormy night. When he can stay awake no longer, he nods off into a nightmare world full of bizarre expressionist monsters plaguing Pooh and stalking him for his prized possession, the honey pot.

Nothing about the sequence is violent or inherently evil, but the sheer weirdness and intensity of the scene (and the accompanying song) certainly gave generations of children an aversion to those two animals (who don't REALLY exist, right?...).
