10 Creepiest Scary Moments In Kid-Friendly Movies

6. The Heads - Return To OZ

Large Marge
Buena Vista

The original Wizard of OZ movie had some mildly scary moments, from the creepy witch to the flying monkeys. However, it overall was a fun and exciting adventure tale for the whole family. Who would have ever expected that its nearly fifty-years-later sequel would be so relentlessly disturbing?!

And there's plenty to be disturbed by. The empty, desolate streets of Oz, the nightmarish Wheelers cruising around, the seemingly innocuous stones that actually have leering eyes and whispering mouths.

But without a doubt, the most frightening moment is when Dorothy has to walk through a room of DISEMBODIED HEADS asleep in glass cabinets. She reaches into one cabinet to procure a magic powder, at which point ALL THE HEADS WAKE UP AND START SCREAMING HER NAME!!!

Childhood ruined.
