Michael Bay. That name just screams "hack" for most of you, doesn't it? The very mention of his name just sends a chill down your nerd-spine. And look at that picture above. It's like he's a big studio corporate velociraptor who will rain explosions all over your childhood dreams with Megan Fox on his back, bringing death to all that is good cinema in a gigantic robotic blaze of bad racist humor and...MORE EXPLOSIONS!! Woah, calm down there, turbo. You have to admit, that's how most people feel about Michael Bay. It's as if he was born the cinematic Anti-Christ or something. But he's really not. He's a director that knows exactly what his target demographic wants, and he delivers. Plus, regardless of the aesthetic quality of his movies goes, he's a great action director. Yeah, I said it. Michael Bay is a great action director. And I really think he can balance story and action well when he is given the right material. Don't believe me? Watch The Rock.
