8. Dolly Dearest Doll - Dolly Dearest

After the success of Child's Play, a hoard of shameless imitators flooded the low-budget horror market, the most notable being Dolly Dearest. The film follows Elliot Wade (played by Sam Bottoms) who has just bought a factory in New Mexico that makes "Dolly Dearest" dolls. He takes his 7-year-old daughter Jessica (played by Candace Hutson) on a tour of the place and lets her take one of the dolls home, the only problem being that the doll is demonically possessed, which somehow wasn't picked up on the firm's less than stringent quality assurance testing. An evil ancient spirit has been released and finds refuge in the toy factory, transforming the dolls into little killing machines. Jst like Child's Play, when the doll gets home the family starts to notice that things are a little strange, as mysterious deaths occur and mayhem ensues.
