1. Martian Manhunter - Idris Elba
In the comics, Martian Manhunter was a founder member of the Justice League. Hes been a bit short-changed on the big screen, though. Hes been in games, animated films and TV shows, but never in a live-action movie. Its definitely time for the DCEU to remedy that. After all, the basic idea of the character is very strong. Hes an alien policeman from Mars by the name of Jonn Jonzz, who nearly went totally mad when every other member of his race was butchered in a genocide caused by his own brother. He was the only martian to escape to Earth, and he soon decided to use his shape-shifting abilities to blend in with society and continue fighting crime. Martian Manhunter's vast range of superpowers including strength, flight and regenerative capabilities allowed him to do a lot of good on Earth, but he never fully mentally recovered from his tragic backstory. Hes always been an unhinged character, which could make him a unique addition to the DCEUs heroic roster. Martian Manhunter could be a great character for Idris Elba to tackle. The Luther star is ready to lead his own franchise, and this could allow him to add a new disturbed skill-set to his acting CV. He's played good guys and bad, but never anyone this mad.
