10 DC Movie Deleted Scenes You Need To See

7. Batman V Superman: Lex Contacts Steppenwolf

Batman Forever
Warner Bros

Lex Luthor's warning to Bruce Wayne at the end of Batman v Superman would have made a lot more sense had this scene remained in the final cut.

The sequence sees a bunch of armed officers discover Jesse Eisenberg's Lex in the birthing matrix he used to create Doomsday, only here he's harnessing the technology to communicate with a mysterious being.

This is none other than Steppenwolf, Justice League's big bad, and when Warner Bros released this bonus footage on its YouTube channel it marked his first official appearance in the DC Extended Universe.

Director Zack Snyder claims the clip was removed from the original cut so it could be revealed online afterwards, his own take on Marvel's post-credits sting.

It was later incorporated into the Ultimate Cut of the movie, but there's a strong argument for its inclusion in the initial cinematic release.
