10 DC Villains Who Need Their Own Standalone Film

1. Lobo

Freeze Movie
DC Comics

Anyone who knows Lobo will know precisely why he is at the top of this list. The space hitman whose name roughly translates to "he who devours your entrails and thoroughly enjoys it" is a fan favourite for obvious reasons. DC has seemingly had a Lobo move "in production" for about a decade now, but there's been nothing to indicate that it is getting made, which is a real shame.

Lobo is excessively over the top in all the right ways, and there is unlikely to be any cinematic experience that could match the absurdity and sheer fun that could be had with a Lobo film. A gritty character study this most certainly would not be, but he would likely be a direct competitor to Marvel's Deadpool films (if he still has a place in the MCU that is).

Variety is the spice of life, and while gritty, grounded films like Joker are most certainly welcome, every once in a while you need a movie like Lobo that would quite literally be too cool to fail. Until DC officially cancels the film, all we can do is hold out hope that The Main Man will get his time in the spotlight.
