10 DCEU Characters That Are Nothing Like The Comics
1. Incubus
Despite Enchantress seeming to be plenty villain for one movie, David Ayer decided to throw an extra baddie into Suicide Squad by way of her big, bad brother Incubus, who is released into a human host as they plot to take over the world.
And as with Enchantress, Incubus is rather unlike his depiction in the comics, where he was a fairly minor villain who possessed the body of a man named Larry Eden, causing Eden to die and allowing Incubus full dominion of his body. Furthermore, Eden was in fact the brother of iconic DC superhero Nightshade.
Nightshade is of course completely absent from Ayer's movie, with Incubus instead possessing a random schmuck on the subway in order to hatch his plan.
Moreover, despite the complex dynamics of Incubus in the comics - where it turns out that Enchantress is actually hosting his sister spirit, Succubus - he's ultimately little more than a generic CGI monster in the movie, serving as a second-rate mini-boss before the Squad battles Enchantress. Shame.
And let's be honest, how many people who saw Suicide Squad can even remember this digital goon's name?
