10 DCEU Fan Theories You Need To Hear

5. Task Force X Is A Precursor To The JLA

Amanda Waller is a woman with a plan. She knows what her endgame is before she sets out, and the formation of Task Force X in Suicide Squad could merely be the prototype phase.

According to this fan theory, the motley crew of villains was a precursor to the Justice League of America, a more credible safeguard against the threat metahumans pose.

In the New 52 era, which the DC Extended Universe is loosely based on, the JLA is a government-sanctioned squad which includes Steve Trevor, Green Arrow and Katana among its members.

There a few ticks in the theory's 'against' box there since the DCEU would have to raise Steve Trevor from the dead and introduce a Green Arrow to make it happen, but Waller is clearly still up to something, and we may have to wait until the Suicide Squad sequel to find out what.
