7. Where Are The Lanterns?
Batman is a seasoned crimefighter in the DC Extended Universe. He's been around for some years and has the scars to prove it, and it should theoretically be a similar story for the Green Lantern Corps.
The intergalactic police force's origin has roots in the early days of the DC Universe and their absence in Justice League would be conspicuous, considering it will all be going off with Steppenwolf and his Parademons.
In the latest Justice League trailer, the villain makes a reference to the fact that there's "no Lanterns" in the DCEU, leaving Earth wide open to invasion. So, where are they?
One fan theory which has gained traction online claims the Green Lantern Corps may have been all but obliterated by a Parallax-controlled Hal Jordan, but it seems unlikely Warner would introduce an iconic hero as a villain.
So there must be some other explanation for the lack of Lanterns.
