2. Original Justice League Cliffhanger
Snyder released a previously unseen storyboard for his cut of Justice Leauge months after the film's release, teasing how his version was set to end.
The storyboard shows Darkseid revealing himself, before opening one of the Mother Boxes. An explosion seemingly encompasses the planet and suddenly, the Knightmare sequence from Batman v. Superman has become a reality. The camera would have pushed in, over a buried-in-rubble Hall of Justice and revealed Darkseid's giant Omega symbol which Bruce saw in the Knightmare sequence.
It is a bit unclear whether this was another glimpse into the future, or if this was an event which was transpiring in real-time in the story. However, having Darkseid open a Mother Box to achieve it certainly makes it seem as though the League was set to fail in their mission of stopping Steppenwolf and would have been directly responsible for Darkseid taking over the Earth.
