Let's face it: who wouldn't want to see Quentin Tarantino take a bloody, gratuitous stab at the superhero genre? His movies are practically superhero films in their own right anyway. Though it's a little known fact, Tarantino actually penned a script for a Silver Surfer film. Following the critical success of Reservoir Dogs, Tarantino approached the German film company Constantin (who had the movie rights to the Fantastic Four and all related characters). Sadly, he was turned away. Perhaps it was too early in his career?
Nowadays, however, he'd definitely be able to get the project moving. If Josh Trank killed the Fantastic Four franchise, perhaps Tarantino could nab Silver Surfer and make something totally different? After all, Silver Surfer from the comics has an incredible backstory, with the character hailing from a completely different planet. And Tarantino has always said he wants to do a sci-fi film...
