10 Dead Movie Franchises That Hollywood Must Revive

It’s been twelve years since the last Blade movie, and Blade: Trinity wasn’t the capstone to the franchise that the Daywalker deserved.

None of that was the fault of the cast - the script and direction just weren’t up to snuff. But let’s not forget that Blade is a Marvel character, a comic book property that was sold off years ago: and the film licence reverted back to Marvel a few years ago, along with the rights to the Punisher and Ghost Rider.

We’ve seen Marvel’s fresh take on the former in Netflix’s second season of Daredevil: surely Blade can’t be far behind? Wesley Snipes claimed to be ‘in talks’ with Marvel last year - although he may be too old for the role now - and with the Doctor Strange film out sooner than you’d think, the MCU’s magical mystery tour is about to get underway with a vengeance.

In 2017, we should see a return to everyone’s favourite grumpy half-vampire vampire killer… and hey, maybe he could do with a sidekick with a flaming skull. I’m just saying.
