10 Deadliest Planets In Star Wars

1. Tatooine

Ben Kenobi said it himself. You won't find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy in the Galaxy than this twin-sunned, backwater desert world.

Perhaps not the safest place for Kenobi to bring a young Luke Skywalker to, this Outer Rim world was a particularly dangerous place. Populated by the vicious Hutt Clan, the most ruthless bounty hunters in existence and cantinas where things got a little too lively, this sandy outpost was far from peaceful - and that's just Mos Eisley.

Across the planet at Mos Espa - Anakin Skywalker's birthplace - dodgy Podracing tournaments and dubious traders had integrated themselves into the shambling civilisation. Even slavery was still common in these parts, with Anakin and his mother sold from one place to the next.

Don't let the lonely sand dunes catch you off-guard either. These Jundland Wastes were populated by feral Tusken Raiders, also known as Sand People, as well as Krayt Dragons - carnivorous reptiles with cries that are seemingly easy to mimic for Jedi Masters.

Other adversaries on Tatooine included the scavenging Jawas and the horrific Sarlaac Pit - a monstrous mouth in the Dune Sea that would slowly digest you over a thousand years.

Best to avoid at all costs, unless you're a Jedi, smuggler, bounty hunter, or you don't mind sand.
