10 Deadliest Spells In The Harry Potter Universe

2. Entrail-Expelling Curse

Voldemort Avada Kedavra
Warner Bros.

What does it do? Causes a person's insides to be violently expelled from the body.

The Entrail-Expelling curse is one that we never get to see being used on-screen, and that's not a surprise, given that Harry Potter is a family-friendly series and this particular spell would make a mess akin to those found in the many, many Saw sequels.

That being said, it wouldn't be a surprise if we learnt that it had been used by Voldemort and his army of sadistic Death Eaters during one of the many deadly battles they had with wizards who were fighting for good. Expelling a person's entrails would certainly come in handy for, you know, winning those battles, and there's a high, high chance that it would cause an incredibly painful, bloody death within minutes of being cast.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
