4. The Overlook Hotel - The Shining (1980)
The Overlook Hotel is very spacious, elegant and obliging, although while being pleasant to the eye, possesses a rather malignant blood stained history. While accommodating to the masses during the holiday season then becoming isolated and desolate in the winter period, the hotel also caters to the selection of both malevolent and nefarious spirits who appear to be omnipresent, by residing by the bar and surfacing amongst the decorative rooms. If you offer to take up the caretaker role during the winter season, while you may slowly succumb to cabin fever, you are more than likely to become subjected to the sinister torment of these spirits, from seductive crumpled old women, frightening ghost girls to bears performing felatio. That said, you may be faced with the horrific predicament of never leaving the hotel for ever and ever.
Tip to survive: Don't casually sell your soul for a drink.
